This special edition piece is cast in solid bronze from the shell of a Lazy Point Oyster, harvested by Dan Resnick (co-founder of Feedfeed*) while snorkeling in local waters. An extraordinary piece of barware, it is a beautiful example of natural form meets function. Handcrafted in lost-wax casting technique, with each one having a unique combination polished / blackened hand-finish. Made exclusively for 8knots by Honolulu based design studio, Mau-House. Notes & Care: The LPO Bottle Opener is entirely handcrafted, therefore expressing individual character. Blemishes and irregularities naturally occurring in the casting and finishing process are not considered flaws. Rather, they give each piece its unique aesthetic appeal. It is natural for bronze to develop a lovely patina over time. Polishing is not recommended, as it may remove some of the intended blackened finish. To clean, if needed - wipe with damp cloth, avoid detergents or scrubbers. Never put in dishwasher, or leave submerged in water. Keep dry between uses.
